I started the dress by first modeling a bodice around my human collision mesh and then modeling a series circular plane meshes of varying densities which were attached to the bottom row of vertices on the boddice
The dress also went through two rounds of cloth simulation. The first one was to create the shape of the dress, and the second was to capture the movement of the dress as the human model walked forward
I have the human collision mesh hidden from the final render view to create the appearance that the dress is walking on its own
